Adding Barbed Wire on Top of an Existing Wall in Kenya

A wall alone is easy to climb. A short run of galvanized barbed wire on angled arms is the usual topping for homes and yards.

Walls need a deterrent on the top

A smooth wall is a ladder. Kenyan homes and small yards usually add one to three strands of galvanized barbed wire on Y-arms or single angled brackets.

How much wire to buy

Measure the wall length, multiply by the number of strands, then add 10% for tying and corners. A 240m roll covers a typical compound; longer estate walls move to 480m or 610m so you are not joining short offcuts all afternoon.

Order factory barbed wire and keep the same galvanized G16 if you already have a run to match.
